Tonight, Devon, Robert, Matthew and I beat Tales of Vesperia. It would’ve been just Devon and I, but the uber-special-secret third form of the final boss was insane. Like… Seriously insane. It took all four of us and a (debately) cheap tactic to allow us to win – even then with a few moments of near-death.
The game, in total, took me something like 69 hours and 29 minutes, a full 20 hours longer than Tales of Symphonia. As it works out, Vesperia can now officially be counted as one of my favorite games of all time, as I’ve beaten it.
Hopefully we’ll do a second playthrough – we already carried some stuff over via the New Game+/EX Game feature.
If you’re looking for a great JRPG, check out Vesperia if you can find it. It’s wonderful. And beautiful. And the gameplay is outstanding. Awesome characters, too. Good voice acting, too. Yeah. Play it. I’m going to sleep.
